Comment from Jackie Hall: The person reporting this sighting was moored up on a yacht next to the inner harbour in Douglas when a 4m long basking shark appeared briefly next to their boat. It is of note that when basking sharks are absent from their usual haunts on the SouthWest of the Isle of Man they appear off Douglas and sometimes Laxey.
