Shark Details
This plump, healthy looking female basking shark was happily feeding, nose, dorsal and tail fin showing. She continued to feed during our obtaining a full identification passport of her.
Environment Details
Approaching slack water. Water very choppy because of where we were near the Drinking Dragon. Some strong tidal fronts with bubbles and floating plastic debris but no visible zooplankton. Having said this the basking sharks were obviously finding plenty to eat. Photos to follow and see the Manx Basking Shark Watch Facebook pages in the next few days!
